ELEGANCE ON A STRING
Bernard Scottlander, a great admirer of Alexander Calder, created a range of lights called MANTIS in 1951. The clockwork is the source of inspiration for all of Scottish's work: the artist, engineer and craftsman developed a clever rotating counterweight system and used flexible and durable metal rods. The lampshade, which is projected into the air like an acrobat, remains unique.
