MANTIS BS1 FLOOR LAMP - elegant and fine floor lamp (Lampadaire / Flor Lamp) made of steel and aluminum with counterweights and base plate. Often used as a floor lamp in the office, studio, dining room, bedroom and living area.
Bernard Scottlander, a great admirer of Alexander Calder, created a series of lights called MANTIS in 1951. Movement is the source of inspiration for all of Scottish's works: the artist, engineer and craftsman developed a sophisticated counterweight system and used flexible and durable metal rods.
