BASKET CHAIR / KORBSTUHL (Chaise Basket) - This variant of the BASKET CHAIR is suitable for indoor use. Thanks to the possibility of stacking it, the chair is ideal for gastronomy and fits in any apartment. The wickerwork of rattan surrounds the filigree steel structure and thus offers a very high level of seating comfort.

The BASKET CHAIR is a comfortable, stackable chair that fits perfectly in rooms with little space requirements. Due to its light metal structure in combination with the rattan weave, the chair looks timeless and remains modern at all times. And that although it was designed in 1951 by the Swiss architect Gian Franco Legler. The chair was already very popular in America in the early 1950s, not least because of the award from MoMA in New York.

Today the chair is woven in Indonesia. Which makes absolutely sense, since the material rattan is grown there and processed immediately. Each chair is handmade and gives it a unique and authentic character.

The BASKET CHAIR is available as an indoor (rattan) and outdoor (polyethylene) version.
