The BitBox02 Bitcoin-only Edition has a stripped down firmware and only supports Bitcoin. Less code means less attack surface, which further improves your security if you only want to store Bitcoin. The BitBox02 Bitcoin-only will always use only Bitcoin firmware. Nothing else. Unlike other hardware wallets, the Bitcoin-only version cannot be reset to support other coins. The Bitcoin-only firmware is fixed at the factory setting.

The BitBox02 can compete with all other established hardware wallet brands such as LEDGER and TREZOR. In a direct comparison, the BitBox02 comes out on top.

The BitBox02 Bitcoin-only Edition is a hardware wallet with radically focused firmware dedicated solely to Bitcoin (BTC). Less code means less attack surface, further improving your security when storing only Bitcoin. Backups are automatically saved to the included microSD card and the BIP-39 memonic seed can optionally be displayed to be backed up on paper or CRYPTO-CODESAFER .

We also offer the BitBox02 Multi Edition, with additional features such as FIDO U2F and support for additional cryptocurrencies.
