BINY TABLE NO 231 - This table lamp (Biny Table No. 231) by Jacques Biny is exotic in the world of lighting. Jacques Biny founded his modern lighting workshop Luminalite in Paris in 1955. In over 30 years he developed almost 400 lamp models. Some see a robot in this table lamp, others a cartoon character and others a radically effective minimalist object.

Even though the BINY TABLE was designed in 1957, it is still current and very modern. For optimal lighting, the BINY is equipped with lamellas (wings) so that the soft light can be directed towards the desired surface. This table lamp is ideal as a work lamp and reading lamp.
